Sauce that makes you go "Mmmmm"

Happy Friday everyone!

I've had a few comments/questions on the SHOW ME YOUR BOWL contest.  The creation does NOT need to be something you've made this week.  It can be any bowl you've done in the past, just simply send me a picture of one of your favorite breakfast creations.  Originally, the contest was until tonight, but I think I am going to extend the entry process until Sunday night since I won't have the voting post up until Monday.

So that's it, just pick a breakfast, send me the picture and you're in for a chance to win a great prize.  Did I mention that included in the prize package of Trader Joe's goods you will also be receiving some amazing granola from Nuts About Granola. I'm telling you, this granola is some of the best granola I've had, and you all know how much of a avid granola critic I am.

So get those pictures to me by Sunday night!

Okay now here was my breakfast today.  Not in a bowl but still quite remarkable.

1 Whole Wheat Van's Belgium Waffles topped with Vanilla Chobani, Berries and Banana, Dark Chocolate Almond Butter, Granola

I'm bringing waffle Friday's back!

Work Work Work and then a lovely lunch date with Audi.

We went to our favorite, Juice n' Java for smoothies and salads.

This salad never fails me.

Greek Salad with Veggie Burger

I had a coupon for a free smoothie and they gave me the biggest one they had.  I decided to switch it up today from my usual Pineapple Banana Strawberry and went with an old favorite, The Green Machine.

I used to drink these every day when I got my wisdom teeth out.  I think I ended up drinking one too many because I got sick of them for awhile but today, it sounded good.

Unfortunately, they didn't make it so well and it was quite watered down. It almost tasted like they missed some ingredients.  I drank about 1/2 and that was all I could force down.  I didn't feel so bad wasting it since it was free.

Audi and I try to get out of the office to do lunch as often as we can.  It's definitely nice to be able to talk all things work and life related, especially over a fantastic meal.

A few days ago, I read about Mama Pee claiming she recreated one of the best vegan sauces yet.  Mmmm Sauce is a cheesy, creamy sauce made from chic peas, almonds, nutritional yeast, and various spices and it is insanely delicious!

I made a batch tonight to go along with our taco salads.

I'm not sure why (I followed the recipe exactly) but mine came out more like a hummus than a sauce.  Still incredibly delicious.

My taco salad consisted of sautéed black beans with cumin and chili powder, peppers, broccoli, Mmmm sauce, guac, salsa, and yogurt.

On the side, a few Food Should Taste Good tortilla chips.

So good!

Tomorrow is a busy day.  I have to work in the morning and then I'll be spending all afternoon, cleaning. shopping, prepping for Easter.  We're having the entire family over to our house so I have a lot to do.

Enjoy yourselves tonight! :)
