Few Words For a Friday

This will be short because I've got warm cookies waiting and we are about to watch a movie.

Just a little recap of this Friday in few words.

Woke up

2 Kashi Blueberry Waffles, Pumpkin Yogurt, Banana, Pom Seeds, Granola, Agave

Disclaimer: Has anyone noticed that Kashi has brought back their waffles?  I used to get the Blueberry waffles ALL the time and then they suddenly stopped making them.  Now they are back, but on the package it says "New!"  Too bad they taste just the same.  Gosh I missed them.

Massaged Kale Salad with Avocado and Walnuts

Smoked Salmon with LC, Fig Preserves, Pickles

Pick me up!

Cafe Soy Misto

We are staying at Toly's parents house this weekend because they are out of town.  Toly picked up dinner at Wegmans.

 Crab Stuffed Tilapia (for him)

 Pesto Tilapia (for me)

Totally forgot to take a picture of everything else.  Apparently I was hungry!

The rest of the plate was filled with roasted veggies (brussels, carrots and parsnips)

Now back to those cookies…..

  1. Have a nice night to yourselves! You deserve it!

    I love those soy mistos.

  2. I've never tried Kashi's waffles- I will have to give them a go. Nice lunchy salad - with healthy fats (hooray!). Enjoy the cookies.

  3. I used to love getting Kashi waffles! I get Vans now but I'm glad to hear they're back!

  4. ooo kashi waffles sounds great! i love their cereals~!

  5. Hi Lauren! I am just curious how your new year's resolution to gain weight is going since you are doing morning AND evening workouts. I am also trying to gain a few pounds, and was wondering how all that exercise is affecting you. Do yo have to eat a lot more to see an upward trend on the scale? I love working out, but I can't decide if for the time being it might be better to hold back a bit. Thoughts?

  6. Ooo girl those cookies sound so tasty!! :D At first when I read the insanity part I was like whoa that's quite a start to her day lol, but then I remembered you talking about the workout called "insanity" hahaha! Ohhh I love the walnuts and avocado in that salad :D I just had some walnuts in my granola (I'll be posting a review soon wooop woop!).

I hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead of you, and enjoy staying at Toly's parents house! A different setting every once in awhile is always nice. It leaves things open for more surprises :)

XOXO much love you to m'lady!

p.s. I can totally imagine you talking to strangers, and just making their day. You are such a sweet person with a big big heart. I am so glad that you are in my life :)

  7. Interesting...don't think I ever would've thought to combine smoked salmon, fig preserves, and pickles together!

Mmmm, I love crab stuffed tilapia!

  8. SO happy to have Kashi waffles back in my life.
