Saturday is my Sunday

Today was Saturday but it felt like my usual Sunday.  Why you ask?

Well, for many reasons…..

It started with Saturday Morning Breakfast

Hers

His

On a typical weekend, we have our "big" breakfast together on Sunday.  Tomorrow, however, Toly and I both have separate plans in the morning, so we moved Sunday Breakfast to today.

I made Stuffed French Toast.  Mine was stuffed with White Chocolate Wonderful PB and Bananas, and Toly's had cream cheese and strawberries.

After we ate, we spent 3 hours cleaning.  Ugh, it was one of those weeks that EVERYTHING needed to be cleaned.  The floors, the bathrooms, the laundry…etc.  It felt good once it was done but I am always quite exhausted afterwards.  And hungry!

Lunch was heated up leftover pizza from last night.

And a Smoothie….

  • Frozen Mango
  • 1/2 Frozen Banana
  • Frozen Blueberries
  • Spinach
  • Splash of POM juice
  • Splash of Almond Milk
  • Flax and Chia

This pizza was even better today.  I added a little mango chutney which really elevated every single wonderful flavor.  I am very sad it's gone!

When lunch was over, I ran out for some errands.  Did a little shopping and hit up Wegmans for food for the week.  See, another reason why today is like my Sunday.  I never do grocery shopping on a Saturday, it's always Sunday.  And today, I was reminded why I avoid the store like the plague on a Saturday…..it was HELL!

I finally got home a few hours later, put everything away and then got to work on dinner.

Tonight, I made Salmon (with my secret sauce)

My Plate

Dinner was amazing!  The salmon….perfect!! Definitely my favorite way to eat salmon, but you know I can never reveal my secret to this recipe.  Sorry guys, but I always say, every good chef has ONE secret recipe that they own.  This is mine.

Now, we're in our PJ's getting ready to start a movie.  Love at home date nights! :)

Enjoy your night!

  4. I cleaned too, honey. It was a good day to stay indoors and do housework. Since your dad was away all day at a conference, I had the house all to myself. just a brief walk with Benny. Hope tomorrow is a brighter day. Mom

And in response to if I live near Towson - Towson University is in my backyard :) I live in Rodgers Forge, so YES, when you come down let's definitely link up. And if I come up to PA to hit up The Christmas Tree Shoppe (which is very likely this will become a monthly experience), we should grab lunch or coffee!
