Today was Saturday but it felt like my usual Sunday. Why you ask?
Well, for many reasons…..
It started with Saturday Morning Breakfast
Hers
On a typical weekend, we have our "big" breakfast together on Sunday. Tomorrow, however, Toly and I both have separate plans in the morning, so we moved Sunday Breakfast to today.
I made Stuffed French Toast. Mine was stuffed with White Chocolate Wonderful PB and Bananas, and Toly's had cream cheese and strawberries.
After we ate, we spent 3 hours cleaning. Ugh, it was one of those weeks that EVERYTHING needed to be cleaned. The floors, the bathrooms, the laundry…etc. It felt good once it was done but I am always quite exhausted afterwards. And hungry!
Lunch was heated up leftover pizza from last night.
And a Smoothie….
- Frozen Mango
- 1/2 Frozen Banana
- Frozen Blueberries
- Spinach
- Splash of POM juice
- Splash of Almond Milk
- Flax and Chia
This pizza was even better today. I added a little mango chutney which really elevated every single wonderful flavor. I am very sad it's gone!
When lunch was over, I ran out for some errands. Did a little shopping and hit up Wegmans for food for the week. See, another reason why today is like my Sunday. I never do grocery shopping on a Saturday, it's always Sunday. And today, I was reminded why I avoid the store like the plague on a Saturday…..it was HELL!
I finally got home a few hours later, put everything away and then got to work on dinner.
Tonight, I made Salmon (with my secret sauce)
Salad
My Plate
Dinner was amazing! The salmon….perfect!! Definitely my favorite way to eat salmon, but you know I can never reveal my secret to this recipe. Sorry guys, but I always say, every good chef has ONE secret recipe that they own. This is mine.
Now, we're in our PJ's getting ready to start a movie. Love at home date nights! :)
Enjoy your night!
My dad has so many secret sauces :) I'll have to get in on the secret one day. Your weekend will seem a day longer since today was Sunday. No work tomorrow :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice day overall :) Although cleaning can take sooo much time- I always feel awesome once its done. Wegmans is an awesome store. I hope they start opening down in the South. Enjoy the rest of your date night!!
ReplyDeleteGirlfriend, I thought Saturday would be a better day for grocery shopping.. boy was I wrong. I went today too and I felt so dumb waiting in line for waaay less than what everyone else had. Anyway, the stuffed French toast sounds and looks divine. I'd love to come over for breakfast one day :D Any meal would be dandy! I totally get you on the secret recipe. I feel the same way about my lentil recipe mwahaha
ReplyDeleteLove you girlie!
XOXO
I cleaned too, honey. It was a good day to stay indoors and do housework. Since your dad was away all day at a conference, I had the house all to myself. just a brief walk with Benny. Hope tomorrow is a brighter day. Mom

ReplyDeleteAnd in response to if I live near Towson - Towson University is in my backyard :) I live in Rodgers Forge, so YES, when you come down let's definitely link up. And if I come up to PA to hit up The Christmas Tree Shoppe (which is very likely this will become a monthly experience), we should grab lunch or coffee!
Hope you're having a great weekend!
