Today has been one emotional day. I have gone from being completely anxious to contemplative to worried to sad to extremely happy and proud.
Let me explain…
As you know, tomorrow is my big surgery, so needless, I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed in anticipation. There have also been some other big things going on that I haven't revealed yet and I had been waiting on hearing the outcome for a few weeks.
If you remember, I told you all a few weeks ago that I was going through some rather exciting changes. Although I was extremely excited, I was also worried because of the timing that everything was occurring. Well, what I wasn't telling you was that I was interviewing for a new position in the company I currently work for. This position is basically my dream job and not only a rather significant promotional financially, but in my overall career. Last week, I had my second interview which was to deliver a presentation on the program. (Remember I told you I had an important presentation at work?!?) Well, after a week of waiting, I was finally offered the position today!!!
I am now, the Financial Education Coordinator for my company. Okay, what is this you ask? Well, basically I work for a large Financial Organization that highly promotes financial education in numerous surrounding schools and colleges. I will be developing the program, teaching in schools, organizing events, speaking at important community programs, delegating a committee and so much more! This job is what I feel that I was born to do. I am thrilled beyond belief but it still hasn't really hit me. It's going to be hard leaving the department I am in now, because I really do love what I do and who I work with, but I know that this move is the best opportunity for me.
Wow, way to end my last day of work on a good note right?
So, obviously, there were many reasons to celebrate. Good thing we have a party planned at our friends' house tonight!
Okay, but backing up just a little, I did dedicate this day to eating meals that I knew I probably won't be able to enjoy for awhile.
Breakfast was my fall favorite…
Diced Pear, Cranberry Sauce (which was an excellent addition), greek yogurt, Kashi and granola, flax and honey almond butter.
Lunch was chewy and delicious….
Meatless Grilled Chicken Wrap with spinach, laughing cow, cranberry chutney and avocado.

Well guys, that's it from me. When you hear from me next, I will be recovering and hopefully not too drugged up to post a quick note to let you know how it went. Thank you all of your sweet wishes and I can't tell you how calming it is going into this knowing that so many people are praying and thinking of me. You all really know how to make a girl feel loved. ;)
