Crazy Camel Dessert Hummus: An Unconventional Delight

Over the years, I have developed a considerable fondness to the unique condiment, hummus. This dip is a vegetarian's dream, providing ample protein, fiber and not to mention versatility. The developments that have been made with this splendid spread amaze me, with a plethora of uncanny flavors and textures on the market.

Typically, my use of hummus includes the "meat" of my sammies, a "dressing" on my salads, and a dip for my veggies. However, I recently discovered a new unconventional product that takes hummus to a whole different level of incredible flavor.

Fed By Chuck is a specialty food company that originated out of Somersworth, NH. This company has mastered their signature product, Crazy Camel Dessert Hummus, a line of sweet hummus spreads that will blow you away. With the same amount of calories as regular hummus (around 60 calories per serving), their products also contain ½ the fat.

Here are the amazing flavors that Crazy Camel offers:

Toasted Almond
Chocolate Mousse
Peanut Butter
Carmel Apple Pumpkin Pie
Maple Walnut

I had the privilege of being a proud recipient of all of these flavors. Immediately after receiving my package, I couldn't wait a moment to try a few of the flavors. Of course, Pumpkin Pie was the first on my list.

Wow, this stuff is ah-ma-zing! I usually think of hummus as being a savory condiment; however, the sweet dessert version is a true delight. Think of incredibly healthy and delicious dessert dip made from ground up garbanzo beans. What could be more ideal than that?

Here are a few ways that I have been enjoying my sweet hummus spreads:

Apple slices with Pumpkin Pie
Cinnamon Pita Chips with Toasted Almond

Red Grapes with Maple Walnut (this is a favorite!)

Peanut Butter on Ginger Snaps
An of course, as a brilliant addition to a PB&J Sammie.

If you are a hummus addict like me, (and I know that so many of you are) I urge you to try these. Fed by Chuck has even offered to throw in a free tub with any purchase you make off their website.
Simply enter "bonus01tub" as the promotional code for your order.

Thank you Bonnie for allowing me to sample your wonderful products!

I LOOOOOVED it on red grapes. I think they just made the flavor in every single one pop! I still have a ton left in my fridge. I really should remember to eat it for dessert more often. Or breakfast. Yum. xoxo
