Trader Joes Items Added to My Giveaway!

Hi guys! Did you all have a fantastic weekend? Can you believe it's over already? Me either!
This weekend was particularly a treat for me, because my dad and I planned our "monthly" Trader Joe's stock up trip on Saturday. If you know me, you know that I LOVE LOVE LOVE this store, but sadly, the closest one located to me is a little over an hour away. No worries, it just gives my dad and I a reason to plan an entire day of fun food shopping. We truly live for this!
But before I get to that, I'll start with Friday. I got home from work and was soooo excited to see this waiting for me....
Holy Wheat Grass! The kind people at Amazing Grass sent me a plethora of goodies to sample. And I even received my very own shaker! So convenient for mixing up this green drinks.
I'll be posting my thoughts throughout the week.

We were really looking forward to cooking burgers on the grill; however, the rain put a damper on those plans. Toly still really wanted cheeseburgers, so I reverted to the George Foreman and eating at our dining room table. Not quite the same, but still very tasty.

I had a Veggie Burger and sweet potato fries. I love the Dr. Preagers brand. Has anyone else ever tried them? I think they are my favorite out of all the veggie burgers, yet, I still haven't tried Sunshine, but I hear they are a must.

Okay so then Saturday, I finally got in a good long run. It's been a few weeks since I've had a long one due to other plans and no time, so I made sure to wake up extra early so that I could fit in 10 miles before my dad arrived at 9am.
We left early and headed towards Maryland, stopping at any spotted farmers markets along the way.
Unfortunately, the markets weren't all that exciting. We only found a few over priced Amish stores that didn't have too much of a selection of fresh produce.

That's okay, because this is the real reason for the day....
I didn't have any trouble filling my cart. I went with a list this time and picked up a few other new finds along the way....
Sunflowers were only $3.99! I love Sunflowers, they are so cheerful! :)
After our shopping, we both worked up quite an appetite. Good thing Bahama Breeze was right around the corner.
I love this place. I use to eat here quite a bit when I went to Towson. I wish we had one around us because it's such a nice little lunch spot.

Dad got his favorite....Fish Tacos!

And I had my absolute favorite...The Sundrenched Veggie Sandwich.
But since my dad and I both love these menu items, we decided to share. He always taught me that sharing is a good thing, especially when it comes to food! :)
It was such a great day and I now feel whole again, having my cupboards full with Trader Joe's products. I'm sure we will be making another stop next month, but this should be me through for awhile.
Oh and as promised.....
More stuff to add to my GIVEAWAY! (Have you entered yet? You only have until Thursday.)

Since I love Trader Joes, and this giveaway features my favorite things....

In addition to all of the other wonderful goods, you will also be receiving a lovely Trader Joe's shopping bag and some mighty tasty Banana Flatbreads.

I hope you all had a great weekend. Enjoy the rest of your evening and wish everyone a great week.

  3. I am liking the amazing grass! As I said in my post today, I liked the plain bars better than the chocolate, but they're both good. The actual mix itself is def a unique love it or hate it flavor.

TJs rocks! We don't have one either and I have my MIL make all my purchases and send them to me ;) Glad you had a fun day with your daddy!

  4. Ohh, those banana flatbreads look mighty interesting! Just the other day my sister and I had a plaintain (spelling?) that we sliced thinly put some salt and olive oil on and baked in the oven until crisp. Turned out SO good!
