Designated Drinker (GIVEAWAY)

I like to think I'm a responsible drinker….

I mean it's not often that I enter the state of drunken bliss…..

Please Note: This was taken at my bachelorette party 3 years ago

But recently, I've been introduced to a whole new world of responsible drinking that has revealed to me I've been drinking wrong for way too long…..

Glass Dharma Straws have been all the rage for quite some time as being the latest promotion to a healthy environment by eliminating the use of harmful plastics.

The concept behind these drinking apparatuses is really quite fascinating. David Leonhardt, creator and owner of Glass Dharma, founded the company after wanting to make a unique drinking straw to help eliminate the misuses of plastic in this world.

So what's so great about them?

From website…..

Plain and simple, here’s how and why they work:
  • Glass straws don’t leach toxins into your food as you drink.
  • Each time you use your glass straw equals one less plastic straw ending up in your landfill.
  • One glass straw replaces thousands of plastic straws. (How many times will you use a straw the rest of your life?)
  • Using your glass drinking straw adds a feeling of beauty to your day.
Now let me be honest, I am a fan of straws.  I use them often but have always used the cheap plastic kind and immediately threw them away when I was done. So when Glass Dharma sent me a few of their straws to review, I was more than pleased to accept.

The first impression I had was the quality of the straw.  This is no cheap glass.  Quite heavy actually, but not heavy in a way that would tip over your drink.  I mean heavy in the sense that you can feel confident this baby will not break easily.

Now that its Iced Coffee season, the straws will be used every single day and today was the first I had the chance to try one.

I have to say, sipping my iced coffee with such style was very enjoyable.  And knowing I was doing something to help the environment was an added bonus.  Glass Dharma; I'm sold! I may never use a plastic straw again.

And now you may be saying the same thing. You all have the chance to win your very own Glass Dharma Straws.
