Nothing But Good

Nothing but good!

If you don't know this catchy little phrase by now, you must be living under a rock.

Chobani Greek Yogurt has always been one of my most prized possession in my refrigerator, as I find a way to incorporate it into my breakfast bowls every single day.

Over the past few months, the company has been so grateful to provide the most incredible opportunities to play, promote, and preview some of their latest and greatest products.

A few weeks ago, I partook in the Chobani Nothing But Good Recipe Challenge along with a few other fantastic bloggers.  They are currently running a pretty incredible contest over on their Face Book that YOU NEED TO CHECK OUT!  If you "LIKE" one of our recipes, you are entered in a chance to win a year's worth of Greek Yogurt!  That is awesome guys!  Is there really anyone on this planet that would turn down a year's worth of Chobani?  Not even Toly would do that, after all, he is now a greek yogurt convert.

So go HERE now and "Like" my recipe.  Okay, so you can like any of them, but if you choose mine, I would love you back.  :)

Now, let's breeze through the past two days.

Let's see, Toly is sick as a dog.  Thankfully, I've been doing a good job at avoiding him completely, but I still feel so bad that he is miserable.

Wednesday morning, we woke up to a crazy ice storm.

As a result, work was opening later so I had a longer than anticipated morning.

Good thing I prepped breakfast the night before, thinking I would be rushed.  That plan backfired.

Overnight Oats made with 1/4 C Irish Oats, Peach Chobani, Chia, Small Peach, Blackberries, Granola

Actually, this was not a backfire at all because it tasted delicious but if I hadn't had made this the night before, I would have opted for hot oats instead.  Oh well, still delicious.

Breakfast today included a new cereal find.

I have a cereal problem.  Whenever a new cereal comes out, I HAVE to try it.  This one is awesome.  It reminds me of Fruity Capn' Crunch.

I incorporated it into a bowl with Kashi Go Lean, berries, Chobani Very Berry and some granola. Oh and a little dark chocolate almond butter may have been drizzled on top.

Yesterday for lunch, I didn't dare risk the roads.  I came prepared with soup and bread to eat at my desk.

Amy's Vegetable Lentil with Spinach, Whole Wheat Toast with Cottage Cheese, Carrots

Today's lunch was enjoyed in the company of co-workers in a lovely restaurant.

Houllihan's Spinach Berry Salad with Grilled Salmon, Goat Cheese and Poppyseed Dressing on side

So I have a question.  Often time, I order Club Soda with lime when I am out for a nice little treat.  Usually, I don't get charged because essentially, this is just carbonated water.  But today, they charged me 2.50 for this.  Is that normal?  Are places supposed to charge for seltzer water like do soda?  I never really thought about it until today.  I mean, I guess it's coming from the fountain, but it's not really soda, is it?

After a day full of meetings and travel, I found myself at the gym ready to run.  Yesterday, the gym was closed due to the weather so it was nice to have a full day off from running.  My legs were feeling refreshed and I actually completed 8 miles in around 70 min.  That is the longest I have run in months and it felt great!

Once home, I tended to the sick boy and then eventually worked on something to eat for myself.

Salad with Sweet Potatoes, Black Beans, Peppers, Spinach, Tofu, Broccoli, Homemade Guac, Salsa

That was a lot for one post.

Tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!  And Superbowl Weekend.  Any plans?  We are just hanging out with our families.  No one is really excited about the teams so I think we are just going to hang out and enjoy the game without any pressure.

Have a great night!

  1. Glad you're still in optimal health!! We're not really doing anything for the SuperBowl either - no team tickles our fancy!

  2. I have sometimes gotten charged and sometimes not. It kinda bothers me because it is WATER for gosh sakes, but They do likely purchase it in cans instead of just from a tap, so I suppose they want to be compensated!

    Awesome run!

  3. I used to work at a restaurant and I'm guessing it's because they carbonate the water on site and maybe it costs them extra so they have to charge like soda?

This Sunday my husband and I are leaving for Vegas! So looking forward to getting away from this snow! :-)

  4. I think it's crazy they're charging you for soda water, but I'm not surprised at all. Restaurants will charge you for ANYTHING these days. Once I stopped into a Dunkin Donuts for a cup of tap water while running and they wouldn't give it to me without buying something!

  5. I cannot wait to try all those flavors! I'm such a huge yogurt freak. Your breakfasts always look SO amazing! I'm not a huge pro football fan, so we aren't doing much. It just gives the family an excuse to get together, cook, and eat :-)

  8. That Kashi cereal looks good! I'm going to have to look for it at the supermarket. I'm not really doing anything for the superbowl. I was thinking about maybe making some appetizers for my boyfriend and I while we watch the game. :)

No superbowl watching here. Not a football fan at all.
