Lame Lunch but a Delightful DInner

Hey there!

Gotta make this quick because it's way past my normal bed time.

First, thank you all for all of your kind words to help me deal with my frustrations on the house stuff.  I know that what we are going through is completely normal and it seems like ever single person I've talked to who has built a house says they went through the exact same stuff.  Basically, it's nothing major, but it's all those little things that really start to add up, especially when you are at the end and near your breaking point.  I know it will be here soon and I know it will be worth it.

Okay, so breakfast today was a wonderful thing and something I haven't had in a few weeks.

1/2 Red Pear, Kashi Go Lean, Apple Sauce, Vanilla Chobani, Cashew Pear Granola

I think I've just been forgetting to get pears in order to make this favorite of mine.  I'm happy I remembered last time because this was a nice remembrance of how much I love this breakfast bowl.

Work was BUSY today.  I was running around from one place to the other and for that reason, didn't have any allotted time for a real lunch.  To tell you the truth, I wasn't really feeling that hungry today.  It was weird.  I managed to wolf down a piece of toast with cottage cheese, some grapes and a few carrots before my presentation this afternoon.

I know, it was pretty lame but it worked to hold me over.

After I was done presenting, I ate an apple and a granola bar on my way to the gym.

After work and the gym, I rushed home to change for date night.

Toly and I had plans to go to a nice little Chicago style BYOB place downtown but when we got there, we were surprised to see that the place had closed down.

Quickly, I came up with a Plan B.

Cafe Fresco is a great little city style fusion bar downtown.  They have great food and awesome martinis.

Pear-Tini

I was pretty hungry to eat at this point, considering my lame lunch, and the whole menu looked good.
I eventually settled on a salad and pizza combo.

Chopped Salad with Feta, Cranberries, Avocado, Cucumber

Mediterranean Pizza no cheese

So good!

Okay, now I really must go.

I have house updates soon, I swear!!  I took a bunch of pictures today on the progress for you all to see so I'll share those tomorrow.

Goodnight!  Sleep Tight! :)
