I'm going to try to write this with the most optimistic attitude as I can, but I'm going to warn you, after seeing this pathetic Eagles game and watch out team blow another shot at the Superbowl, I'm not in the best of moods.
Let's not talk about that though.
Let's talk about the good things about today.
Like the food. The food is always good.
I was up at my normal "sleep-in" time. 7am is the longest by body allows me to sleep apparently.
By 8am, I'm starting breakfast and deciding when I need to wake up the boy.
In today's mix, I added about 2 TBL of TJ's Peanut Flour and it made all the difference.
I also whipped up 3 eggs to split between us for some protein. I was going to Body Pump and wanted to fuel properly.
Body Pump was killer today. We used an old release so although I wasn't feeling the music as much, the moves were intense.
After class I did some grocery shopping, came home, showered and heated up lunch.
Leftover Thai food was calling my name.
To make it more voluminous, I added some broccoli and sprinkled the top with edamame.
The rest of the afternoon didn't really get exciting until this little peanut came to visit.
My sister and brother in law decided to come over for an impromptu family dinner so my dad put on his apron and got busy while we played with the company. (Just Weston, not my sister and brother-in-law)
For dinner, my dad outdid himself with his famous lasagna.
And because he loves me so much, my own personal cheese-less veggie lasagna.
Dinner was superb! Thanks Dad!
Dessert was not so sweet. We all kind of loss our appetites after the Eagles game. Ugh, another season down the drain. This was supposed to be our year.
I hope you all had a better Sunday night than we did.
Goodnight friends!
The first photo of the peanut is so precious. Sorry about the Eagles' loss :(
ReplyDeleteYour dad is quite the cook! It's so nice he made an entire lasagna for you!
ReplyDeletesorry about the eagles! so nice of your pops to make you a cheeseless lasagna. that means when i come over for dinner i can share w you!
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing! Your nephew is adorable!
ReplyDeleteHi Love...Ryan and I were disappointed with the game too. We always get so close...and then it falls apart. At least you had some yummy food and a cute baby by your side. You are so photogenic, my friend! Thank you for sharing, my dear. I hope you have a good Monday. Let the week begin!
ReplyDeleteSorry about the loss :( There's always next year!!!
ReplyDeleteThose pancakes sound so good! I've seen the TJ's peanut flour all over, but I haven't gone to TJ's in forever so I haven't tried it, but it sounds awesome :) And if I were Toly I would've woken up too lol. That's also very sweet of your dad to make a special lasagna for you! It reminds me when a family friend of ours was staying with us she made this German dish called "Nudelauflauf" and she would make two since people had different tastes.
XOXO love you to pieces!
Josh was SO totally bummed. Sigh....oh Eagles. Glad you guys had a nice evening. Both lasagnas look fantastic. Your Dad is such the cook! Have a good Monday
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lovely dinner!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry about the Eagles... your dad's veggie lasagna sounds delicious, though! even if dessert wasn't as planned... :(
ReplyDeleteI think my brother cried after the game last night. Disappointing. Hey, at least the Phils have been getting far(ther) than the Eagles lately...

ReplyDelete<3 you!
I posted a comment earlier, but I don't see it on here so if I'm repeating myself I'm sorry. I was wondering if you could share your dad's cheese-less veggie lasagna recipe. I've been wanting to make one for awhile and would love a recipe to follow. Thanks!
