End of a Crazed Week

Hello there!

Sorry it's been a little while since I've put together a legitimate blog post. This week has just been a bit out of sorts, but all because of truly wonderful and miraculous reasons. I didn't even know where to begin or where I left off until I uploaded the pictures.

I think I'll just start with yesterday's breakfast.

1/2 Peach, Raspberries, 1/4 Cup Flax Flakes, 1/4 Cup TJ's Vanilla Almond Flax Cereal, 2 TBL TJ's Apricot Mango Greek Yogurt (my favorite thing in the world), Granola and Chia Sprinkles

I was finally feeling back on schedule after a few days of no sleep and tons of work.  Does it ever seem to anyone that when life decides to get crazy, it all happens at one time? I think God does this to test our strength most of the time.

Anyways, yesterday was this guy's birthday….

He's so darn cute.  Almost as cute as this guy….

And almost celebrating the same birthday.  Weston is just a day ahead.

I took the big birthday boy out to lunch since I was going to miss his family dinner that night because I had to work.

We went to Cafe Magnolia and I was actually surprised that he chose it because it happens to be my favorite place to have lunch.  It wasn't even my birthday but I didn't question it.

It was actually quite chilly and the soup of the day sounded awesome so I ordered a cup.

Roasted Red Pepper with Crab

For my entree, I had the Southwestern Veggie Wrap- Avocado, Romaine, Pico de Gallo, Black Bean Hummus and Corn Salsa.

The wrap came with a side of fruit which is honestly some of the best fruit I've ever had.  I have no idea why it's so good but it just is and always is, no matter what time of the year.

After a wonderful lunch for a wonderful man, I finished up work, came home and went back for another work event that night.

It was a long day but I try not to complain because I really do love it. :)

This week has actually been interrupted with my running as well.  The treadmill at our gym is broken, which means I haven't run first thing in the mornings.  I've been supplementing with cross training all week, which is probably not a bad thing considering my body could use a break from running.  But going from 35 miles a week to 6 is a big difference when your not injured. I'm hoping to get in a few more miles tomorrow morning since I'll be able to run in the daylight.

Breakfast this morning was a little bit of all of my favorites.

Fruit and Yogurt.

Pineapple, Blueberries, Pineapple Chobani and Granola

Waffle with PB Bananas

Natures Path Flax Waffles with 1 tsp Dark Chocolate Dreams PB, 1/2 Mashed Banana and Pom Seeds

What is that?  Hot coffee today?  I was out of iced and forgot to make more.  It just wasn't the same.

I came home for lunch and devoured a glamourous salad.

Romaine, Purple Cabbage, Cucumber, Broccoli, Avocado, Strawberries, Pecans, White Bean Basil Hummus, Poppyseed Dressing

I also had the other half of my wrap from yesterday and a bunch of sweet grapes.

This lunch was awesome but sat in my stomach all afternoon.  Somedays, my food just doesn't digest as well as I'd like it to, but I don't blame the food, I blame my dietary condition.  I deal though.

We decided to grill and eat out tonight, savoring the very last days of outdoor eating before it's too cool.  Although, tonight was a bit more chilly than I prefer to dine in.  Fall is definitely in the air.

Even Sammy was feeling it.  He nestled up to Toly while we ate.

But what did we eat?

Teriyaki Mahi Mahi Burger with Pineapple Peach Salsa and Grilled Asparagus and Zucchini.

Toly had Grilled Teryaki Chicken with a baked potato and some salsa on the side.

Toly also felt like playing bar tender tonight and made me a taste of his creation.  Coconut Rum, Cranberry Juice and Sprite.

Quite tasty!

Well that about concludes this crazy week.  I'm really looking forward to a relaxing weekend with packing as the only major thing on the agenda.  We need to start somewhere!

PS- We are looking into getting a POD to store our things while we live with my parents.  I've heard really good things about them.  Does anyone have any reviews or suggestions?  We can't decide if we should get a storage unit or go with the POD.

Night!
