Tickled Pink!

For being a short week, it sure felt like a long one.

Friday mornings are always nice for me.  It's my rest day from running so I usually cross train with my ET and do some kind of workout dvd.  Today, it was 30min ET and 30 min of Jillian Michael's No More Trouble Zones.  I love this workout.  It's quick, intense, and really works the muscles and the core.

Anyways, on to breakfast.

Iced coffee is becoming my favorite part of the day.  Not sure when the urge for hot liquids will resume, but for now, I am all about the extra 5 min of prepping this the night before.  Worth every single second in the morning!

Continuing on with my newly established tradition of Waffle Friday, I made some killer Banana Split Waffles this morning.

2 Natures Path Flax Waffles, Straw-banana Chobani, Strawberries, Banana, Blueberries, Dark Chocolate Almond Butter, Maple Agave, Pecans, Flax

After a few morning meetings with some clients, I made my way back towards work to have lunch with an old friend.

We met at one of my favorites….Juice n'Java!  Perfect day for a salad a a smoothie. (My favorite lunch)

I had the Greek Salad with a Veggie burger and an unpictured Strawberry Banana Pineapple Smoothie.

But what was even more fantastic than this lunch was getting to see my friend Cheryl.  It's been awhile since we've gotten a chance to catch up, so this was such a special lunch.

When I got home from work, I fulfilled another Friday tradition that I am trying to stick with.  Friday Yoga!  It's just so good for my body to spend 30 min in deep stretches and meditation.  (Don't worry, no crow poses tonight. I'm still recovering from the nasty fall)

Dinner this evening was a true comfort meal.

"Snobby" Joes

I, of course made Toly the original, "Sloppy Joe."

But my "Snobby" Joe was crumbled tempeh, diced red pepper, BBQ sauce, Honey Mustard, Brown Sugar, Agave, Apple Cider Vinegar, and Ketchup. (Toly had the same sauce)

I also made a simple slaw to put on top.  Shredded cabbage and sour cream (no greek yogurt left!) And the best part, the pickles!

Exceeded my expectations for any BBQ sandwich.  I adore tempeh!  I love the nutty texture and mushroomy taste.

Here are the rest of the accompaniments with dinner….

Roasted Asparagus and Corn on the Cob

Toly's accompaniments….

Oven Fries, Slaw, and Corn

Excellent dinner!

Okay, so if you remember from last night, I said I hoped to have someone for you all to meet by tonight.

Well, as I was typing this post, she arrived!!!

Say hello to Abigail Elizabeth

Toly's sister gave birth to a beautiful baby girl this evening.  We rushed over to the hospital to be one of the first to meet her!

Proud Uncle….

Proud Aunt….

One adorable little angel….

Happy Birthday Miss Abby!  This world just became a better place tonight! :)
