Tickled Blue and Happy to Say, A Baby Boy is On His Way!

Okay hold the phone, before I start I need to explain myself by the title of this post!!!

I don't want anyone getting the wrong idea.  So I need to add this disclaimer.

Not me, not me!  This entire day was dedicated to my sister, who is having a baby boy in a few months! Today, we had her Baby Shower and it was quite the event.

Let's begin, shall we?

I woke up at 6:30am and had myself a lovely 6 mile run in the beautiful morning sun.  Not too hot and slightly breezy.  It was perfect.

After stretching, rolling, and showering, I had myself an incredible bowl of Nectarine Raspberry Oats.

And I finally got around to make more Iced Coffee.  Thank goodness!  I don't think I could have brought myself to eat hot oats with hot coffee on a day like today.

After breakfast, I was off to get things ready for the shower.

So I have a confession.  I planned this shower months ago, but it really snuck up on me.  I just realized how close it was the other day and did not at all realize how many people were on the invite and were actually coming.

We ended up having close to 50 people there!! We held the shower at our church and put together the decorations and decor this morning.

Luckily, it all came together so nicely.

And Brooke was so surprised!

And got a TON of stuff!

Brooke is one of the kind hearted, generous, and most amazing woman I know.  I love having her as a big sister and now that she has made me an aunt, my heart is overflowing!

After the shower, it was almost 5pm and I still needed to go grocery shopping.  I was so tired and starving when I got home (I really didn't get a chance to eat anything since breakfast because of running around like crazy all day and at the shower) cooking dinner was the very last thing I wanted to do.

I asked Toly if we could go out to a deck, sip some wine, and order dinner.  He agreed on this plan.

We went to Brewhouse, a favorite summer place of mine, and I immediately ordered a glass of Pino Grigot (unpictured).

For an appetizer, we split the Roasted Vegetable and Goat Cheese Bruchetta

And for my entree, I had the Parmesan Seared Scallop Salad.  It was fantastic and I definitely made one Happy Plate.  There wasn't a crumb left!

Now I have brownies baking in the over for a Fathers Day BBQ tomorrow afternoon.  Such a fun filled weekend!

Hope yours is going well too!
