Chocolate Hangover

I'm back!

It's so nice to be back too!  Yesterday was a long day but a fantastic one at that!  I had back-to-back work events which included fancy lunches, spa visits, and a few rounds of chocolate shots with some big clients. Yes, that's right, chocolate shots!  Never in my life have I experienced such a thing (well, maybe not with chocolate) and it was incredible.  It's basically how you would imagine, 10 shot glasses lined up with the most decadent melted pure chocolate and bottoms up!

It looked a little something like this….

No alcohol, but I definitely left feeling a bit drunk.  And quite nauseous. Actually, all day I've felt pretty lousy and understandably so.

Oh I love my job!

Anyways, back to today.

I woke up feeling quite energetic, probably still due to the sugar high, so I took that energy and busted 6 miles in 53 min!  Quite speedy today.

For breakfast, I was anxious to try the peaches I bought considering how good the nectarines turned out.

1/4 Cup Kashi Cin H2H, 1/4 Cup Cin Puffins, Few Kashi Harvest Nugs, 1 peach, blackberries and blueberries, flax, chia and peach Stonyfield Yogurt with blob of cin PB

Along with a barrel of strawberries.  I really do consider these candy for breakfast right now.  So very good! Kind of sad that I had consumed all of my Iced Coffee and had to go back to the old cup of hot joe this morning.  I need to make more!

Apparently my energy high this morning was short lived because shortly after I arrived at work, I felt the adverse effects and started to feel like crud.

I busted out all of the tactics to cure my chocolate hangover.

Kombucha

Green Monster

In the mix went 1/2 frozen banana, fresh mango, kiwi, spinach, chia, hemp protein powder, coconut milk

It came out perfect! Vibrantly green, thick but silky smooth, and creamy!

And lots of veggies

This salad had romaine, cucumber, radish, cabbage, tomatoes, mango, black beans, onion, avocado, salsa and yogurt

Lunch was just what my body needed.

I went back to work feeling much better.  And a few hours later, I was surprised with a phone call from Toly saying that he was coming to see me!

He has been away all week and decided to come and see me at work on his way home! It was such a nice surprise! :)

Once I got home, I put aside any thought of working out and immediately cuddled up on the couch with my man and my pup and we all took a much needed 20 min nap.  It was glorious!

After a walk and some catching up, I worked on dinner.

BFD was not going to be missed this week!  What a better way to welcome Toly home than with an egg sammie!

I made BLT Egg Sammies only my B was smoked salmon. Incredible this was!

So that's all.  I'm glad you guys enjoyed the guest post yesterday.  It was actually my first time doing a guest post but I definitely welcome more in the future.  What do you think, would anyone be interested in making a camio on Say What You Need To Say?  I'd love to have you visit! :)

Hey, tomorrow is Friday!  So enjoy your night and always keep smiling! :)

  7. Nice job on your run, girl! That's great, especially for a training run! Also, that breakfast sandwich looks delicious. It reminds me of something you'd get at a deli! Making me hungry...
