Fate is on my Side

It's the weekend!!!!

I was so excited to get through the day yesterday.  For some reason, I woke up feeling like the week had really caught up with me and I was thanking the Lord that it was Friday.  I just needed to get through 8 hours of work and then I could really just relax.

Breakfast was simple yet so satisfying.

Multigrain Cheerios, Banana, Dried Cranberries and Blueberries with Honey PB and Almond Milk

Work has been so busy all week, but yesterday, I had a clear schedule and the day just seem to drag.  I think it was because I was so anxious to go home, but I just was so unfocused all day.

I took a break for lunch and came home to my much anticipated leftovers.

You knew this was coming….

Leftover Tortilla Crusted Tilapa on Black Bean Mango Avocado Salad with Zucchini topped with salsa and greek yogurt

Eaten with a kiwi and melon and a Cinnamon Food Should Taste Good Tortilla chips.

Absolutely wonderful!

When I got back to work, all I did was watch the clock. It was pretty dull until a few hours later when the most exciting thing happened to me!!!!!!!!

I got an email from the Cherry Blossom Run confirming my registration and bib number.  I was actually really bummed and got kind of sad, but I figured I should go on the website to see if I could turn in my bib number in case there was a waiting list.

As soon as I went to the site, I saw a link that said "NEED TO CHANGE FROM THE 10 mile Run to the 5K?  Click here!"

SAY WHAT????  OMG!!!! It was like the runnings gods had heard my prayers!!!!

All I had to do was to click a button saying I needed to change from the 10 mile to the 5k and that was it!  I keep my same bib number, registration does not change, I just show up at the start for the 5k and thats it!!!!!

PERFECT!!!  I still get to run in the race!!!!!!!  Even though the 10 mile isn't an option for me, the 5k is definitely more reasonable and attainable for my body at this stage.  I was almost peeing my pants with happiness that I still get to run.  I couldn't stop smiling for the rest of the day!

After work, I came home feeling extremely exhausted all of a sudden.  It just hit me.  I took a little nap and woke up feeling the need to get out.

Toly and I decided to grab some dinner and catch a movie.

We went to our favorite Thai restaurant for some amazing food!

I started with the Thai Papaya Salad

And ordered the Vegetable Peanut Curry with Tofu and brown rice

It was delicious and made me very happy, despite how tired I looked….

We saw The Bounty Hunter, which was pretty good, even though I did end up dozing off for the last 30 min.  Man, I was just so exhausted.  It's the drugs guys, it has to be!

I came home and crashed, woke up this morning and eventually made breakfast for me and Toly.

Scrambled Eggs (with dijon and jam) Cinnamon Toast and Strawberries with Yogurt

Soon after, my dad showed up for our date.

Yep, it was that time again for the monthly Father/Daughter Trader Joe's Trip.  Our last one was postponed because I was sick, so it was well overdo!

We first stopped at Ikea, and then enjoyed a fantastic lunch at The Cheesecake Factory.

To start, we split the Tuna Carapccio

And it was awesome!

And I ordered the Fresh Vegetable Salad (Beets, Apples, Goat Cheese, Asparagus, Edamame, Tomatoes)

It was fantastic but HUGE!  I ate about half and took the rest home.

Trader Joes was sensational as always.  I definitely did some damage but now I am fully stocked so life is in order once again.

By the time I got home and put everything away, it was going on 7pm and I was starting to get hungry for dinner.

I picked up a pizza crust at TJ's and threw together a quick pizza and salad dinner.

Topped with Zucchini, Red Pepper, Soy Sausage, Goat Cheese

I ate one big slice with the rest of my salad from lunch.

This turned out wonderful.  Quick, Easy and Delicious! :)

Now, Toly and I have a list of things to catch up on with the DVR.  Just planning on laying low and relaxing for the rest of the night.

So wonderful!

Hope you all had a great day!
