Finally a Shopping Success

I believe this may be the first time I have sat down all day.  Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining, as it was entirely productive; however, seeing that it's 7:30pm on Sunday night, I could very easily call it a night and go to sleep at this moment.

But I'll write this post first….

I had a wonderful nights sleep last night but my internal body clock woke me up at 6am.  Since Toly wouldn't be awake for a few hours, I decided to embrace the early morning with a calming workout.  After 30 min on the ET while watching a psycho bride on Who's Wedding Is It Anyways? followed by 20 min of abs, I felt content with this and called it a decent workout.

I made a pot of coffee, sipped and read until Toly woke up.

Starving by this point, breakfast needed to be quick easy and delicious.  (much like any meal in my life)

Scrambled Eggs (2 whites 1 egg) with avocado, Dijon and rosemary and a Honey Whole Wheat Bagel with cream cheese and jam and pumpkin butter and banana on the other

Many of you have asked about my "Mrs." mug.  It was a birthday gift from my sister and I absolutely love it.  And yes, Toly does have the matching "Mr." and yes we do drink out of these at every Sunday morning breakfast.  I know, we are cheesy but cheesy is cute when you are a newlywed.

After we ate, I didn't waste a moment and moved right along with my day.  The schedule was full and I needed to get moving.

After a 2 hour shopping trip (because it takes me that long to do the weekly grocery shopping, mostly because I am obsessive and read every label and compare every price and a little because I love grocery shopping so much) I came home, put everything away and prepped some things for the week.

My sister was coming over for lunch so I did work on making that too.

Veggie sammie (hummus, laughing cow, spinach, zucchini, peppers and onions) with a side salad and grapes

Brooke had a similar plate but with a turkey sammie

We contemplated just grabbing lunch at the mall, but after I spent a week's worth of groceries and came home with a fully stocked fridge, I thought it wouldn't make much sense to spend $10 on a lame salad when I could have easily made something much more satisfying at home.

We ate and chatted over lunch and caught up because it has been awhile since we've caught up and then went straight to the mall.

I had a mission: to come home with new work clothes!  I have been attempting to buy new outfits for work many times and each time I have failed miserably.  For some reason, my sister is my good luck charm when it comes to shopping.  She is the only person on this earth that I enjoy going to the mall with and I ALWAYS seem to be successful when she is with me.

Being the supportive and loving big sis that she is, she agreed to tag along and help me unload a new paycheck on overpriced but very fashionable professional garments.

And, just as I assumed, the shopping was a complete success.  I came home with 2 new pairs of dress pants, a few sweaters, some new jewelry and a fashion scarf.

Score!

By the time we got home, the day was nearly over.  Shopping takes a lot out of me.  I was tired and hungry and decided to start dinner earlier than normal.

I made Crab Tilapia that came out pretty sensational (aside from it falling apart during the transfer to the plate).

Crab Tilapia, Roasted Acorn Squash and Roasted Asparagus

Pretty basic dinner, which is quite unlike me but every tasted so good and was just what I was in the mood for.

Well, now that I have spent 20 min writing this, I have decided I am even more exhausted than when I began.  Bed will come early tonight.

Another super busy week is in store.

See you later alligators! ;)
