Name that Christmas Tune

On the 4th day of Christmas, my true love gave me to me…..

Okay, so I may not have gotten any Christmas presents from my true love today, but he did put his manly craftsmanship skills to use last night and fix my blender. I think the thing had one to many green monsters and suddenly died on me last night. But thankfully, Toly was able to bring it back to life. I just wonder for how long before it goes out on me again. Time for a Vitamix perhaps? :)

Well, I am happy to report that I was finally able to get in decent run in this morning. I ran a speedy 6 miles in just over 51 minutes, mainly because I was afraid I might be cut short again. Thankfully, I was able to complete it without trouble, but each day is a gamble with this stomach.

I really can't tell if it's getting better or not. It really seems like every day is different, which makes me think that it has everything to do with certain foods that are triggering it. I think the current antibiotics I am taking do have something to do with it as well, and since I am on these long term, I guess I will just have to keep testing the waters until I can figure things out.

I did give my Goodbelly shot a shot today. I always seem to feel queasy mid morning, so I figured it would be a good time for a shot of healthy probiotics.

I adore the little smiley face cup. Seriously, who wouldn't want to drink something that has a face?

**Note: This image was stolen from Ryan at GreensForGood because I didn't have my camera at work.

The taste was pretty good. It was a bit tart, but overall, it reminded me of an Orange Julius.

I felt better after I drank it, but I'm not sure if it's because I just put something in my stomach or from the effects of the drink. I'm going to keep taking them and see how it goes.

Around 12:30, I decided to run home for lunch. It's odd because I'm never really hungry and constantly feel a little sick, but EVERY SINGLE time I eat, I feel 100x better. I have to keep telling myself to eat and it will be better. Now if only I could keep it in, I would be all set! 

Anyways, TMI, I know.

Lunch was a repeat performance of last night's dinner.

Leftover Moroccan Vegetable Stew

Ohhhhhhh my goodness, I can't get enough. This is one of the best stews I have made, I swear! And yes, it was even better the next day.

I reluctantly headed back to finish out the workday. Things are a bit dull this week. It's slow because of the holiday and since I am leaving soon, I really don't want to take on any new projects. So I've just been trying to tie up some loose ends, but that usually means the boring stuff.

I quickly rushed home at 4pm and headed straight to the gym. Toly and I have a busy week, so we figured this may be our only night to get a strength workout in.

I did a Full Body Gym Boot camp that took about 30 min. I love the bootcamp workouts because I feel like I always get in such a great session and I am constantly moving. So many times when I strength train, I get bored a stand around more than I actually work. I like having the structure of the routine to keep me moving.

We returned home from the gym ready for dinner of course. Tonight, I had no choice but to pull out a BFD on a Monday. Since we have so much going on this week and Toly will not be around for the next few days, I moved BFD up the chain to first priority. Plus, I skipped out last week, and two weeks without BFD is unheard of!

By the request of my hubby, tonight, it was the alleged Breakfast Bowls.

My Bowl:
  • Sweet Potato
  • Brussels Sprouts
  • Red Onion
  • TJ's Organic Apple Chicken Sausage
  • ½ Chopped Honey crisp Apple
  • Dried Cranberries
  • In a sauce of Cranberry Dijon and Maple Balsamic
  • Topped with Cranberry Goat Cheese on a bed of wilted spinach

Too good for words!

Toly's Bowl:
  • Bacon
  • Potato
  • Cheese
  • Tomatoes
  • Fried Eggs

Don't you just love the purple potatoes! Toly wasn't too sure, but he said they tasted no different.

And one happy boy!

I also took a tip from my lovely gal K, and pulled out the Whole Wheat Cinnamon Raisin Bread with Laughing Cow and Cinnamon. Soooo good! The cinnamon was the perfect addition to the Laughing Cow. Great idea girl!

Oh my gosh you guys, this dinner rocked my socks! Toly and I could barely speak during dinner because we were too busy savoring each bite out of our amazing Breakfast Bowls.

Well, that's all I've got for you tonight.

Hope everyone is enjoying a joyful short week and getting psyched for Christmas!

Here is a little Christmas trivia to get you all in the spirit….

What is the number one most requested Christmas song of all time?

**Leave me a comment with your guess, and I will choose one winner tomorrow for a little surprise! :)

Good night friends!
