All of my East Coast runners out there, I have some very exciting news to share, so get ready....
Every time I read my Runners World magazine, I find myself skimming through of the the ads for the races in the back. I always see some that stand out and think of how much I would love to do. Well, today, as I was doing this, I came across an ad for an upcoming 10k race and then this brilliant idea suddenly struck me.
There are so many of you whom I would be so thrilled to meet. What a better way to get a group of amazing women together then sharing in a common passion that so many of us have....running!
Okay, so here is my idea....
On 10/31 (Halloween!) there is a 10k race in VA Beach. Its the Wicked 10k, sponsored by Blue moon. The race itself seems like a blast and afterwards there is a beer/food party to celebrate! Just for registering you get the T-shirt (of course), Medal, Post race goodies, Beer and a BBQ, and a special post race surprise! What could be better than beer and running. (Not in that order naturally)
Okay, so would any of you lovely ladies be interested in doing the
1st annual Blogger 10k Meet up?
I was thinking (depending on how many are interested) we could check out some hotel rates and split the costs, so it should work out pretty inexpensive.
Just think of how much fun this could be. You could get the chance to meet some amazing people, compete in an exciting 10k, and spend the rest of the weekend partying in VA beach over Halloween!!!!

Lauren!!! What a perfect idea. School is relatively close to VA Beach too!!! I was actually looking for a 10K race to run. I used to run 6 miles like it was nothing but now I'm back at square ONE ughh. I'll see how it goes the next couple of weeks with my shins and let you know. 2 months is enough time right!?
