A Fairytale

Once upon a time…..

There was a boy and a girl.

This boy and girl were the best of friends.

They spent years hanging out doing what best friends do.

They played and joked around…...

They filtered uncontrollably…..

They even went to Homecoming dances together…..

 Then, one day it happened…..

 The kiss!

The kiss that changed everything.  The kiss that turned their friendship into something more.  The kiss that made them realize, they were made for each other.

Over the years, their relationship grew stronger…..

Until the day that the strength was bonded for enternity….

The rest is history…..

And they are living happily ever after!

Happy Valentines Day!

No matter how you chose to celebrate this day or who you are celebrating with, I hope it was full of love and kindness.

Even though we celebrated our V-Day over the weekend, I still woke up feeling as though there may be another surprise waiting from my Valentine.

Breakfast:
Whipped Banana Oats with Flax, Banana, Blueberries, Banana PB, Banana Bread Crumbled on Top

The strawberries were about the only festive part of this breakfast.

When I got to work, I was talking with my coworker about our weekends when she told me her hubby had surprised her with the most beautiful bouquet of flowers.  I told her I was surprised Toly didn't get me any flowers this year (he always does) but that I was kind of happy because I didn't really have a place to keep them.

I'm not joking when I say this, not 30 seconds later, my phone rang and it was the front desk letting me know I had something beautiful waiting for me to pick up.

I thought, "Oh Toly, guess he did get me flowers anyways."

Expect I was wrong!

Okay, can I just say how amazing this man is?!?!  Seriously, this triumphs any flower and almost made me cry.

He knows me so well!!!!!

The card instructed me to share with my friends; however, I'm pretty sure I ate almost half of this thing by myself.

Lunch:

Black Bean Mango Salad, Zucchini, Brocoli, Tj's Mahi Mahi Burger with Teriyaki Sauce

Love this flavor!

After work and a 5 mile treadmill run, I came home starving.  So much for my appetite being dormant as it was yesterday. Today, I was the exact opposite.  I guess this means it always balances out.

My dad was preparing an incredible romantic dinner for my mom and offered to share.

Dad's Famous Tomato Sauce with Roasted Veggies, Salad, Toast with Hummus

Toly had Chicken Parmesan and we both enjoyed this on the floor with candles and a glass of wine.  Truly romantic and much thanks to my dad for saving us from eating bowls of cereal for our V-Day Dinner! ;)

And now if you excuse me, we have some chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us in the fridge.

  6. Aw, you and your husband are so cute. :-)

I did feel loved today! My husband isn't here but he did wish me a Happy Valentine's Day when he called to say goodnight. I enjoyed an afternoon with my Grammy and a quiet night at home with a glass of wine and chocolates.

  8. I most certainly did. We have some great men in our lives! My sweet husband made me a beautiful card and bought my favorite recipe cards from Anthropologie. Then he made pizza for our dinner...just lovely. I can tell that you and your sweetie are so in love too. Thank you for sharing with me tonight. Hugs and well wishes from Austin! Happy Valentine's Day!

  15. I've always wanted an Edible Arrangements bouquet, but sadly they don't deliver to my area. Hopefully that will change in the future because you're totally right, these trump flowers any day!

Love the old pics! And that dinner looks amazing!
