Life Goes On

"If there are 3 words I've learned about life it is this.  Life Goes On."

I saw this quote today in a magazine and found it to strike a cord.  Sometimes, the most simple words really make all the difference.

Also, sometimes the simple pleasures in life some from something as little as a bowl of cereal.

Or, in my case, a bowl of bedazzled cereal!

1/4 Cup Natures Valley Vanilla Sunrise, 1/4 Cup Barbaras Vanilla Oat Puffins, Berries, Vanilla Chobani, Pieces of crumbled Raspberry Bread with White Chocolate PB, Almond Milk Splashed over it all

Life goes on and so does the day, even when you realize you may have more on your plate than you would like, but somehow you manage to get through it with a smile.

On days when the air is so bitterly cold you have to hold your breath from the front door to the car door, you realize that no matter if you kick and scream, winter is here and you can do nothing about it.

Expect eat soup.

Soup will keep you warm.

Life goes on and continues to throw you beautiful reminders that you are one of the luckiest people on this earth to be surrounded by amazing friends, especially with impeccable baking skills.

Erica is one of the sweetest people I know and her and I have become quite close over the past year.  I can not believe I was her Secret Blogger in the Bake Exchange and felt like I had just won the lottery.  She sent me some of the most wonderful treats-

Her famous Homemade Granola

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies and Double Chocolate Mint Cookies

I immediately sampled upon opening and will be going back for seconds later. :)  She knows me way too well!  Oatmeal Chocolate Chip are one of my FAVORITE cookies on this earth and anything with Chocolate and Mint is just my thing.  We often joke how we are twins at heart because her and I are always on the same page when it comes to food.

PS- The granola is FANNNTTASSSTICCC!!!!  I don't see this lasting very long.

Luckily, my cookie sampling didn't ruin my dinner which was good because I had the change to cook up BFD for me and Toly tonight.

I dreamed of doing it right after our bad experience at Cracker Barrel last week.

Organic Cage Free Eggs- cooked perfectly!

My Famous Blueberry Banana Pancakes (with a few walnuts mixed in)

Cracker Barrel's got nothing on this!

And what a better way to end this lovely meal than with more cookies and a bowl of granola.

And if I for one second start to feel bad for eating too many, I'll simply remind myself, no matter how many cookies I eat or how many bowls of granola I consume….

Life. Goes. On!

  5. I've been working on embracing the "life goes on" mantra, too. Because one way or another, things HAVE to work out! There's just no other option.

Erica's goodies look great! I've always wanted to try her granola.
