Will Work for Sushi

Apparently I'm not the only one with unusual food combinations.  You guys have some unique culinary minds too.
  • PB&J on Tempeh
  • Ketchup and Shrimp
  • Cantaloupe in Red Wine Vinegar (okay this is a new one for me)
Regardless of how odd they may be, as long as you are loving the food you eat, that is all that really matters.

I don't think this one is too weird but it sure tasted amazing!

Tropical Breakfast Bowl

  • 1/4 Cup Kashi Go Lean Crunch
  • 1 Mango (yes an entire mango, it was small and I swear mango's are one of the most deceiving foods.  The pit makes up about 80% of the fruit)
  • 1 Kiwi
  • A few pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 Container of Pineapple Chobani
  • 2 TBL Granola
  • 1 tsp Chia Seeds
So very good!  The mango was perfectly ripe and the pineapple was so sweet it almost tasted like candy. And NOTHING is better than Pineapple Chobani.  I consider this flavor icing!

I ate this one with 1/2 of a Great Grain bagel with a tsp of Almond Butter with flax, 1/2 mashed banana, and cinnamon.

I worked all morning in the office and was planning to go home for lunch, but when a good friend and co-worker emailed me for sushi, my plans quickly turned for the better.

Jess is a good friend of mine and it's been far too long since we've caught up.  Love this girl and I love sushi so lunch was a real treat today.

We each ordered a lunch special which was 2 rolls (one spicy salmon and one tuna).

And we split a Special Roll- Seared Tuna, Mango, Crab, Spinach, and Spicy Sauce.

This roll was unbelievable.  The seared tuna was incredible and gave each bite a nice meaty little crunch. It was a tad spicy but the cool mango balanced it all out.  Loved it!

We are getting ready to go out to dinner with one of our friends and his girlfriend who we have never met.  I love meeting new people and there is always so much to talk about so it should be a great time!

Anyone getting pumped for Jersey Shore tonight? ~ I just found out what GTL stood for!!!  Haha, what a quality show. ;)

  4. I haven't had sushi in ages! I didn't get around to watching JS at school since I didn't have cable most of the year. I've heard a lot about it though--perhaps too much :)

  7. Yummy sushi! I am so addicted to those little rolls. Once I start, I can't stop! :)

I missed the prior post on weird food combos, but I definitely have my fair share! One of the ones that gives me the most looks...steak and ketchup.

Have a great weekend, dear Lauren!
