Our First House Showing

Hello my fine friends!  Hope you all enjoyed your hump day.  Aside from reaching record breaking temps, mine was quite joyous.

Let's see, it all began with a 5.5 mile run.  Nothing too exciting about it, just the normal morning tempo run.

Breakfast was, however exciting!

1/4 Cup Kashi H2H, 1/4 Cup Kashi Cinnamon Harvest, 1/2 Banana, Blackberries, Vanilla Chobani, Applesauce, Honey Almond Butter and Flax

Have you ever tried mixing applesauce with greek yogurt?  It's fantastic I tell ya!

More breakfast….

Yes, it's true, I do try to make my breakfasts as colorful and eye pleasing as possible!  Notice how the bowl was lacking bright colors this morning, so the fruit on the side made up for it.  Always thinking ahead!

I threw a luncheon today for a group of college students that I hired for a scholarship program I run.  So no pics. I barely had a chance to eat though because I was doing most of the talking.

Later in the afternoon, Toly called me and told me that we were going to have a showing tonight, which meant we had to be out of the house from 4:30-6:30pm.  This was our first showing and if for some reason it's miraculously or last, I would be ecstatic!  Wishful thinking I know but I really really want to sell our house!

We dropped off Sammy at my parents left their house with a new addition to our family.

Check out this zucchini from my dad's garden!  It's honestly the size of a small child and I can't say I wasn't full of joy when he handed it to me.

Since we were forced out of the house, Wednesday night BFD was obviously not going to happen, so the next best thing came to mind…sushi!

We started with the essentials….

Miso Salad

Edamame

We ordered the Chesapeake Roll (shrimp tempura, crab, cucumber and avocado) and the Sapporo Roll (Seared Tuna, mango, avocado, crab, cucumber with spicy sauce)

Both rolls were fantastic!

Funny story about this pic, the millisecond after Toly took it, I dropped that huge piece of sushi right into the bowl of soy sauce which then dumped all over the table and made a huge mess.  He somehow had impeachable timing.

Toly got his usually chicken habbachi and fried rice.

And I ate all of his veggies.  Don't worry, his veggies are pretty much the bulk of the meal.  I think I was the one who made out in this situation.

It turned out to be a fun impromptu date night.  Being forced out of our house while strangers were snooping around wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.  Now, I can't say I would enjoy it every night, but if it sells our house faster, I'll suck it up!

Speaking of house selling, time to brush up on my House Hunters.

Night people!

  10. How exciting about the showing! I'm crossing my fingers for you :)

And the sushi incident sounds like something I would do. On our sushi date at lunch yesterday, I made a mess. I dropped ginger all over the table, had sesame seeds all over my skirt when I stood up...such a mess!

  11. I loveeee sushi. It's been forever since I've had it....since January I think? The last time I went out for it, I got sick! I don't know if it was the sushi or a virus that caused it, but I think I'm ready to brave it again! I love salmon/tuna sashimi!

  13. Hope the house showing went well and you have some potential buyers! That zucchini is the biggest I've ever seen, and it's AWESOME. My dad loves zucchini too, so he would have kept it all for himself! Hope you're having a great week so far love :)
