Where Did it Go?

Is it really almost July?  Wow, total shock when I realized that this month is already over in a few days.  And then total bliss when I realized we are looking at a 3 day weekend!  But seriously, what happened to this month?

I hopped out of bed this morning (much easier than yesterday) and did 5.5 miles in just around 47 min.  Not bad, I'm still averaging an 8.5 min mile and I would like to bring that to a solid 8 before my 1/2 marathon.  We shall see.

Breakfast was so fresh and so juicy!
1/4 Cup Raisin Bran, 1/4 Cup Kashi Cin H2H, peach, blueberries, 1/3 of a banana, peach chobani, cinnamon PB, touch of fresh peach jam

Added some strawberries and cantaloupe for good measure and good color! Thank goodness for Iced coffee.  This was number one, number 2 was consumed after my dentist appointment this morning when I swung by S-bux.  2 reasons why this second Iced Coffee was needed today…..1) I had an awful taste in my mouth from all that metal they use to clean your teeth and 2) I was so hot that my butt was practically glued to my leather seats.  Nothing sounded better at that moment than an iced coffee and I assure you, nothing was better!

Another lunch meeting today so no lunch pics.  If it seems like I am always having these lunch meetings it's because I am.  At least once a week I have a lunch meeting with a business partner, co-worker or potential client.  Lunch meetings are the way to go because not only do you get to enjoy a nice meal, but the relaxed atmosphere really makes getting down to business quite enjoyable.  I find its easier to connect with people over a decent meal! All part of the marketing approach my friends.

Anyways, as I was saying, no pictures but I'll lay it out for you.  Panera Bread 1/2 Mediterranean Veggie and 1/2 Strawberry Poppyseed Salad.

I was this close to trying the Tomato Mozzarella Panini (I always get the Veggie sandwich) but the girl told me that couldn't remove the cheese because they were all pre-made.  I can't eat Mozzarella and if they weren't willing to take off a piece of cheese, I wasn't willing to compromise an upset stomach for it.

No disappointment, lunch was still very good.

I made up for my lack of lunch images with lots of photos from dinner.

BBQ Mahi Mahi Burgers with Mango Chutney

Toly grilled a TJ's Mahi Mahi Burger (LOVE these) and added BBQ sauce at the end.  I mashed up some avocado, smeared it on a sandwich thin and layered a heap of TJ's Mango Chutney on top.

Grilled Zucchini

Grilled Corn Mango and Black Bean Salad

Everything put together…….

In the words of Rachel Ray….Yum-o!

Toly decided that since I love the Mahi Burgers so much, he would save the last one for me and had a Grilled Brat instead.

Surprising, Toly loves this Corn and Black Bean Salad too after I add heaps of feta cheese and remove all of the red onions.

It dramatically cooled off tonight.  We enjoyed our dinner out on the patio, but for the first time in weeks, there was a cool breeze going through.  Finally, the humidity has broken!  At least for a few days.

Hope you enjoyed your day!

  3. Mahi Mahi burgers...what a great alternative to beef! Ryan and I don't eat any meat or poultry, but we do eat fish (occasionally). These burgers look like a great way to celebrate the 4th of July (which I also cannot believe is this weekend!)
