Too Little Too Late

Good evening my fine friends, how did today treat you?

Happy to say, my Tuesday was much more delightful than my Monday.  I knew it would be and so did all of you! ;)

I pulled a 6 miler this morning.  So lately, my right IT band has been feeling really good.  I still ware the brace, but I haven't had much pain or discomfort for a few weeks.  Until today, I noticed now that my right side is beginning to bother me.  Oh dear….just when I thought I was getting back to 100%, my lower left hip is now getting sore.  I guess this just goes to show how much ware and tear running really does to your body.  It amazes me to hear that people in their 60's or 70's have been running for most of their lives are still doing marathons!  How is this possible?  I'm not even 25 and I feel like I'm falling apart.

I was ready to be done, rolled out, showered and eating…...

1/4 Cup Cinnamon Kashi H2H, 1/4 Cup Cinnamon Puffins, Few Kashi Harvest Nuggets, Vanilla Oikos, Blueberries, Blackberries, Banana, Cinnamon Rasin PB, and Blueberry Jam

Yum-o!

I had such a grueling day at work.  Really, my job is so hard.  I had the pleasure of spending the entire day on the golf course working on my tan and smoozing with CEO's of many different companies.  Our company hosts an annual Golf Tournament every year where we invite all of our vendors to play in the tournament.  It was such a beautiful day and quite sunny.  As you can see, I didn't quite follow the proper sun exposure rules and did not put on enough sun screen.

Definitely had too little and realized it was too late.

Lunch was going to be provided at the course, but knowing that the menu was hamburgers and hotdogs, I cam prepared with the vegetarian option.

That would be my all time favorite sammie to pack on the go.  Whole Wheat Cinnamon Raisin English Muffin, Almond Butter, Apricot Butter (or pumpkin butter), spinach, and pear.

Delicious, filling, and incorporates a great balance of carbs, healthy fats, sugars and protein.

After a day like I had yesterday, a day on the green and in the sun was just what I needed.

Dinner tonight was one of those "pull it together" meals that just worked so well.  I "pulled it together" in my head on the drive home and put it all together on the stove.

TJ's Mushroom and Herb Risotto, TJ's Seafood Sauge, Roasted Broccoli, Bruchetta topping

I made Turkey Sausage and Bacon for Toly

I am so happy that the rest of the week we will be enjoying summer like temps!  I love this time of year.

Happy Tuesday!
