"One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well."

What kind of person would I be if I didn't order dessert with a pick up line like that?

This is the quote that read atop the dessert menu of one of Toly and my favorite restaurants, which is where we happened to dine tonight.  More on that in a bit.

I need to back up a few hours and start with breakfast.

1/2 container of Pineapple Chobani, mango, strawberries, kiwi and blackberries, kashi go lean crunch with chia seeds and flax

Nautres Path Waffle with Dark Chocolate Almond Butter and Mashed Banana

Immediately after breakfast, Toly and I headed out to our very exciting event for today.

My company was sponsoring an event hosted by LeSean McCoy, aka "Shady" (running back for the Philadelphia Eagles) and Toly and I were helping out.

If you remember, we met LeSean a few months ago at a charity basketball tournament that we also helped out at through my work.  Toly was starstruck then, by this time around, he felt as though they were old buddies.  He had no problem asking for a real autograph today.

We spent all morning at the park and during this time, I snacked on an apple I brought to hold me over for a late lunch.

When we got home, I was starving.  I put together a quick wrap with a piece of the leftover smoke salmon and goat cheese frittata I made a few nights ago.

With carrots, a pickle and the rest of that Pineapple Chobani from breakfast.

For the next 3 hours, Toly and I literally did nothing.  And by nothing I mean we laid on the couch, watched a "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" marathon and fell asleep.  It was marvelous!

We eventually peeled ourselves off the couch and got ready for a wonderful date night we had planned.

Where to?  Bricco!!  One of the best restaurants in Harrisburg (in our opinion).

I began the meal with a fabulous glass of Zinfandel.

First course: Arugula with white asparagus, pistachio encrusted goat cheese medallion, and fresh beets.

Second Course: Roasted Vegetable Pizza with Goat cheese

Bricco has some of the BEST pizza!  I love how thin and delicate the crust is and the sauce is slightly spicy but subtly sweet at the same time.

Toly ordered the one dish that he has been talking about for months (when he got it for the first time). I can not remember the name but it was basically crispy strips of fried beef over capellini pasta in a cream sauce.

And Dessert: (which brings us back to the quote)

I love quotes.  I love dessert.  And I love when a good quote supports my decision to order a grommet dessert.

Bricco has "small bites" options for their desserts which is perfect.  We ordered two, the Dulce de Leche and the Blueberry Coconut Tart.

After this meal, I can honestly say that I can think well, love well and now sleep well.

Good night my friends.
